The Connect Community
The Connect Charter School is located in the heart of Pueblo and we are so fortunate to provide our students with chances to engage with the community. Within the school itself, we work to foster that same sense of togetherness so they can develop a healthy understanding of the “power of place” and nurture their social skills. We also work closely with students and families to create our own community within the community at large. We like to say that it feels like one big family and we encourage active participation in our events, clubs, place-based education and open houses.

The Connect Charter School is a student-centered school where we prioritize engagement and authenticity in all our programs. Most importantly, we know how to leverage local assets, including parks, public spaces, museums, and businesses.
Located squarely in the heart of Pueblo, we get out of our building to practice what’s called “place-based education.” We effectively and powerfully use the “city as campus.” As one business owner stated, Connect Charter School students “bring life to the center of Pueblo.” In return, the school uses its city resources to enrich the curriculum, provide unique experiences and help our students understand “the power of place.”
We interact with adults and the adult environment in ways that other schools can only read about. Our civic and service-based projects are essential to the social and emotional growth of our students and staff.

Are you a parent who loves to get involved? Are you passionate about the education your child receives at The Connect Charter School and want to become a part of creating awareness about our programming? Join our Connect community as a Parent Ambassador!
Parent Ambassadors are integral to the success of our school because you are able to share your real-world experience as a Connect parent with other prospective families. While we can tout our accolades and our curriculum with pride, Parent Ambassadors can share stories of that education in action — and how their students feel about their schooling. .
We are confident that our parents and students are happy with their experience at The Connect School and we encourage you to share that experience with as many families as possible — and your child’s closest friends, in particular. Middle school is a whole lot easier when you have friends waiting for you on the first day!
